偶然间逛到这个网站 －－ World Heritage Tour，觉得不能不推荐一下。我将它翻译为在线世界文化遗产之旅。

网站的首页在不停得刷新着来自全世界文化遗产得精美照片，让人忍不住马上点进去看看。

网站的Mission写得很清楚:

– Making of a documentary image bank with panoramic pictures and interactive virtual reality movies for all sites registered as World Heritage by the UNESCO.
– Dissemination of these virtual reality movies for documentation and promotion of the World Heritage.
– Using multimedia techniques in an edutainment mode to raise awareness on the preservation of the World Heritage.
– Promoting the notion of sustainable tourism in the head of local administration, tourists and travelers.

也就是说这个网站收集了很多被联合国教科文组织（UNESCO）选定的世界文化遗产的所在地的照片。而这些照片都是全景照片(panoramic pictures)，利用Quicktime做成了互动式的，让你可以某种程度上身临其境。赶快进去一览世界美景吧。从首页的照片点进去后，你将看到一幅世界地图, 选择你想要访问的国家，比如中国，就看到一幅中国地图，然后再选择目的地。

作为云南人，我来直接给出一系列丽江的Tour (注意看页面右下方的操作说明)：

目前WHTour这个网站，已经收集了162个联合国世界文化遗产（一共有830个）所在地的图片，缓慢增长中，详情看这里。

喜欢这个non-profit的网站的使命，构架，和多媒体互动技术的使用，也喜欢它的这句话：

To all governments, organizations, companies and individuals : act responsibly. Don’t commercialize, pollute, trash or blow up World Heritage Sites.

手机的plan换到了verizon wireless。Verizon没有rollover，所以有时侯分钟数可能会紧张，如果打爆了，就会被罚不少钱。

在网上溜达的时候，看到在quiet earth发布了一个Verizon Wireless minute usage perl script。这个perl写成的script能够自动的登陆进你的verizion wireless的帐户，然后通过HTML Parser获取你这个billing cycle的分钟数的使用情况。作者的计划，是让这个script自动的将这个信息通过短信发往你的手机。不过，可以下载的那个脚本，还没有实现短信这一部分。

我觉得这个脚本的功能对我很有用，于是就拿了过来，做了一些修改，也发布在我这个blog。主要是加了短信那一部分。因为原作者发布的时候，没有任何license的信息，这种情况下我也不知道该按照何种license来发布，所以也就索性没有license了，反正一个小程序，弄着玩玩。如果原作者反对了，我就拿掉。

我修改过的脚本在这里下载。下载后请改名为verizionusage.pl。正如前面说得，主要的idea和code都来自于原来那个脚本，所以我本人没有什么太大贡献啦。

这个perl脚本使供在linux/unix下使用的，如果你想在windows下使用，需要做一些修改。

脚本下载后，需要修改开头的Configuration Section来填入一些你的手机的信息， 有详细的注释。基本上，你需要提供你在verizion wireless网站的帐号用户名和密码，你的10位数的手机号码 （写成xxxxxxxxxx，不要写成xxx-xxx-xxxx），你的email，你的plan的peak time的分钟数，和你希望报警的threshold。比如我的plan每个月是450分钟，我设置的threshold是400分钟。当我运行脚本，它如果发现当前的使用掉的分钟数已经超过了400分钟，脚本就会往我的手机送一条短信。送短信的机制很简单 （quite earth上提到了），verizon提供了一个vtext的服务，假设你的电话号码是3022345678，如果你发一封email到3022345678@vtext.com，一条短信就会把这封email的内容送到该手机。另外，你还需要提供你系统里面sendmail的位置。我用的ubuntu，sendmail在/usr/sbin/sendmail （这里假设你的sendmail是配置好，可以用的）。

假设你把脚本拷贝到/usr/local/bin，然后你就可以将它加入linux的cron中，让系统来自动得定时运行它。 比如我写的是：

   0   22  *   *   *    /usr/local/bin/verizonusage.pl

不知道是新闻还是旧闻了，今天在Technorati上看见，老徐（徐静蕾）的新浪BLOG在Technorati上全球BLOG排名第一了。Technorati的排名是根据链接到博客的unique links的数目。

一个来自中国的博客，在全世界最知名和重要的博客搜索网站 （之一），排名达到了第一，与此同时，这个网站刚刚在国内被GFW了，有点讽刺。

另外，新浪的博客，在技术上没有任何值得称道的地方，但是打好了名人博客这张牌，和徐静蕾实现了双赢。估计，老外们纷纷从Technorati上连过来想看看世界最受欢迎的博客是什么样的时候，一定感到不可思议。

还是人多力量大阿。

在今天的Google Video Top100中第四位竟然是一个长达1小时21分钟50秒的关于911的纪录片：

911 Loose Change 2nd Edition with extra footage - Google Video

还没来得及看完，但是从片头的10分钟和Google Video的介绍来看，这是一部持有911阴谋论观点的纪录片:

Loose Change is an extremely hard hitting, heavily referenced documentary. It has the best footage that I have seen to date, of all the bombs and explosions going off at the World Trade Center. He covers each individual aspect of 9/11 in keen detail, and after watching ‘Loose Change’ it is almost impossible to walk away and not believe that 9/11 was engineered, not by Osama, but by our own Government.

从这部记录片的官方网站 — Loose Change: 2nd Editon，可以看到许多关于这部影片的信息。我还没搞清楚来龙去脉，不过看起来这是一部美国民间三个志愿者自己制作的纪录片。我甚至不能在imdb上找到关于它的信息。在Google News上搜索了一下，查到一条相关的新闻，其中提供了一些背景材料 (我highlight了其中关于传播方式的描述）：
